Tonsillectomy on me.

Warded 27th June 2006.

Pukul 3ptg my family ( mom, dad, VV n Via, Tini, Arfan ) n I went to the hospital, bersiap2 ngan my luggage n stuffs I needed 4 my operation. Inda plng byk, juz a few clothes, some food n liquid meals.

Mula2 atu ke ADMISSION COUNTER first. Lapur diri. Isi boring etc.. then the lady at the counter bawa masuk ke Wad 11. In Wad11 some of the staffs there immediately know who I am (i.e staff from xray ).. Xray jua ni.. xray jua ni.. err.. my name not xray muaahaahha..

Katil aku dapat katil No 12. WD11/12. Ada la full juwa tampat my section atu. Pastuh kana checked my blood pressure, weight, heart rate. The nurse asked if I had hypertension, I said NO. A bit high my blood pressure, muahaha.. nervous pakah tu.. Then jumpa anaethetist, Dr Grace I think, nice lady who asks lotssa questions. She would be de one yg tidurkan aku..

Then I asked if I cud get ON LEAVE for dat day. After a few discussions wif the nurse-in-charge wif the doctor I think, they said I can. So balik la, muahahha.. fasting from 12 midnite onwards saja… D rumah I couldn’t really sleep.. muahahaha..

Operation day 28th June 2006

Kul 6 pagi I headed off to RIPAS. Stayed in my bed etc. Pakai my baju gown. Sexy muahaha.. plus baju patient biasa atu as well. My mom, my sista n c Arpan came by after a while. Ainah came by after a while juwa.

About 9pagi pakah, baru kana suruh transfer ke trolley, boh duii.. kan operation la tu.. so pakai baju gown saja, transfer ke trolley, pastuh one of the male nurse injected my butt wif something to make me drowsy. Muahahaha.. sakit .. still sore a bit now.. muahaha.. camna juwa, kana suruh relax, inda mo relax, camna kan relaxkan juboo ani? Muahahha..

In d operation room, Ainah was there to welcome me. Then an OT nurse asked me my name, my Ic, whether I know wat they r gonna do to me.. as a protocol I think, so they didn’t mix up de patients.

Pastuh we had to wait for maybe 15minutes before aku kana surung ke OPERATION ROOM. I couldn’t see well la during this time. My spec kana buka. So its like, all blurr. Then kana masukkan IV line at my left wrist. Erm, laju ya buwat, inda sakit. Thank God! Then transferred ke OT table, kana induce wif sleeping gas, tawakal banyak2.. all black.

When I opened my eyes, I was still at the RECOVERY area of the OT room, I could hear one of the male nurse said, Nah bangun sudah. Then Ainah voice – Bah, balik ku dulu, kan register my sim card. Muahahaha.. then I was sent back to the WARD again.

I was not sure of the time, but I think it might be about 11am when I was done. Saw my mom n dad sekejap. Drowsy n tired, n a sore in my throat, I fell asleep again. My throat hurts. Ya Rabbi!! Sakit! I was awoke but tryin to sleep saja. The first visitor of de day, c Tone tiba2 muncul atas kerusi, like aikss.. bila ya datang? Muahahaha.. needed to communicate using paper n pen, n sign language muahaha..

Then after dat my parents dtg bawak food. I reckoned about 3-4pm. Kana bawakan aiskrim actually. Then baru ku kan menyuap aiskrim ah, two doctors arrived. Dr Abang n another Indian doctor, checked me. No bleeding, etc, normal, so I could proceed wif my eating. Ishh, couldn’t talk, couldn’t eat. Very difficult. Even begarak mcm sakit. N I still feel weak then.

Then ada cia Maat, Tinie, Yatie n Suzan dtg melawats. Bawa aiskrim lagi tu. Muahahaha.. atu ya.. Used pen n paper to communicate.

After my trial in eating, I tried la, sakit la.. payah.. aduiii..

When they left, C Awang n Umai dtg melawats. Then kana bagi ubats.. painkiller n panadol I think. Soon, afterwards I could speak a bit n eat a bit comfortably. A relative from Tutong also melawats.

I was feeling well, n gaining my energy back, so to get fresh air, I went to the Radiology dept, saw my coligs there sekejaps. Good thing the painkiller was working, cud speak to them muahahaha..

Some sms juwa ku received sayin get better etc.. tx u guys…

Malam atu melawat lagi c Wan. Inda kaja panya anak. Then ceta2 sekajapz.. kan meliyat tarik kalats ya kul 830pm, so he must lawat aku around 8mlm la tu. Then mom n dad dtgs sekejapz, sempat me turun ke Koperasi bali bubur! Muaahahaha.. abis bubur ku mamam..

Sleep time, but tidur2 ayam, pasal one of the patients snored loudly! Very very loudly!!! N pasal my throat sakit2 semula, The painkiller wearing off.. but better la dari mula2 after operation.

Discharged 29th June 2006

Kul 5am atu de nurse went round checkin everyones blood pressure, temperature, they did routinely since first day aku masuk. Then ada kana bagi painkiller n panadol. Wat I was waiting for!! Muahahaha.. suka ku dengan itu painkiller.. inda sakit..

Still had difficulty in swallowing food, but better, still felt sore, but I cud speak. Maybe around 7pagi atu, I think I dosed off, when I fell a pat on my back. WE NEEDED A MOBILE CHEST XRAY! Muahaha.. Mr Zul n gang panya for their ward round. So they checked me again, no bleeding n he asked me if I wanted to be discharge. I said yes. So he said juz rest, for the time being, don’t go to crowded places, takut infection. 10 days MC katanya. N just rest! Tx MR Zul! ( he was my senior at my UNi duloo )

Mom n dad dtg around 8am atu pakah, then got myself discharged, salam2 wif other patients at my section, then get my MC note n we left. Went down to de Radiology dept sekejaps antat my MC letter. N off to home. Wat an experience!At least now I cud eat lotssa icecreams n yes!! Cold bandung!! At last!!!!!!!!!

WHaT is ToNsILLectomY?

Am gonna have my tonsillectomy next week. A bit worried. Muahahaha.. who wont?
Cabut gigi lagi ku worried, apa lagi be putung d OT!People say its just a simple procedure. Mr Zul ( my surgeon ) said its only gonna take less than half an hour. But the psychology behind it is still daunting. Macam need to get warded as well. Then siapaku bawa stay with me at ward. I have asked a fren plang udah.Tell my mom. Etc.. muahahaha.. But then dapat mamam eskrim rite after this.

Why? Well, sudah infected my tonsils ah, inda lagi dapat diselamatkan. My tonsillitis worsens since late last year. Masa dulu2 biasa saja plang. But last year is the worst la. I remember my cuti in August last year? Masa burfday me sakit tonsillitis n demam a week. Gila kali..

Neway, hopefully after this no more attack from tonsillitis. Opss.. no more, coz the tonsils nada lagi ada.. muahaha..

WHAT IS TONSILLECTOMY

Definition:
A tonsillectomy is surgery to remove the tonsils.

Alternative Names:
Tonsils removal
Description:
The tonsils help protect against infections. However, children with large tonsils may have frequent sore throats and ear infections , or have nightly breathing problems. In these cases, surgery to remove the tonsils may be helpful.

The surgery is performed under general anesthesia. This means your child will be unconscious and pain-free. The surgeon holds the mouth open to expose the tonsils. The tonsils are then cut or burned away. Steps are taken to control bleeding, and the cut heals naturally without stitches.

A tonsillectomy also may be needed if the tonsils are enlarged and blocking access to the adenoids during an adenoidectomy or if the physician suspects the presence of a tonsil tumor.

Drama? Bila kuar? Muaahahahaha..
Well, Saturday nite lapas yoga I went home to KB. Then pegi rumah someone liyat shooting drama DENDAM PENANGGALAN. My bro acting in it as Ismail.

Me? Muahahaha.. jadi extra saja. Kana bawa, so aku ikut saja tah.. muahahaha.. My part is juz duduk masa meeting in de ofizz ( konon2 nya ) n then besalaman wif one the actress yg kononnya dpt jawatan tinggi.. muahahaha.. I wonder if my part in it kana cut muahahaha.. atu ngalih saja.. kul beraper kami shoot ah.. well around 1130 pm till late mornings.. coz sebelum atu ada another scene.

Drama ani sepatutnya seram la.. kiter tunggu n lihat d RTB Sentiasa Bersama Biskita!

Wat do I think about AF4? Personally I think this year’s show is better than last year. Why? I think becoz the students, all of them ada something special in each of them, I mean lain2 bah bisdurang ah from each other.

Hazique

C Haziq ani ku liyat very d manja, n ada kanak2 sikit in him. Hes still young neway, 18 year old. He likes to pakai his small ‘teddy bear’ necklace kalau in AF. N seems like ia ani manja dengan c Rich ( remember him sleeping on Rich’s body on de sofa?) Ia suka lagu tradisional wif most songs dibantainya lenggok tradisional. Although I like his version of lagu Mawi atu last week. Very good. His weakness is his ‘darah gemuruh’. Dari konsert prelude sampai ke 2nd concert u can see his hands shaking when menyanyi lagu. Sampaikan kana paibun kan ulih Aznil and the judges. Neway, I hope he will get into the finals. Good talent.

Faizal

Masa mula2 liyat this guy, I tot hes gonna be like Aidil from season3 last year. But surprisingly, hes totally different. Very full of energy wif his very prominent Terrenganu accent. NA NA NA TERRENGANOO KITOOO.. His accent macam jadi daya penariks all voters for the show. Hes at the moment always at NO 1 in sms ranking. I like him as well. Inda ambung usulnya. Very relax wif the guys, inda bepura2. And he has this serak2 basah voice. But he cannot dance. Oh well, Vince pon inda pandai nari. This guy might the winner of this years AF. My prediction.. muahahaha

Amirul

Pesta air mata last week. Triggered by his father’s day speech ( his father passed away when he was 16 ), then another sad time for him when kana gitau his uncle ( whom he was closed too after his father’s death ) passed away when hes in AF. Hes like one of those kids yang very sesuai masuk dalam ‘boyband’. Chinese looks wif Chinese-melanau decendent from Kuching. But sorry to say his vocal is not dat strong. He needs to work harder.

Diddy

Mmmm.. c Diddy.. Diddy, Diddy. Hes very tall. Is he 6 feet tall? He likes to bongkok when doing his performance. This week ia really very de suka when Siti Nurhaliza called him up in AF n wished him well. His voice is very deep. Ala2 suara Ibnor Reza, etc.. deep voices like dat. Or even Rick Astley. Erm…

Lotter

Lotter is good. Very small guy, looks like Yassin scenario. Muahaha.. periang orangnya dalam akademi. Selalu becali. Kalau onstage he gives his best, his strength is in his seni persembahan. Think Madonna, suaranya inda berapa, but onstage shes like brilliant. And so does Lotter. Great stage performance, but voice is just ok.

Rich

He is a rocker! So kalau lagu rock sesuwai ya nyanyi. His looks is serious. But becali pandai juwa ya. Haziq manja arah c Rich ani.

Velvet

She looks like one of my colig!! Muahaha.. mcm c Priz.. yeah!! Everyone mengiakan!! Muahaha.. Velvet has a very good tone in her voice. Very de merdu ala2 Indonesian singers. Similar macam Kris Dayanti. I hope she makes it to the finals. I hope so. She’s a chubby gurl, mana inda, dalam diari u can see her mamam banyak. Muahaha..

Zila

The minang gurl. She comes from Negori Sembileeehh.. But her accent is very standard KL people. Shes the gurl who likes to talk to the camera. And ask the camera. Her voice is sederhana saja in my ear.

Salima

Controversy ni this gurl. The first contestant in AF yang betudung! Muahaha.. kan ikut Mawi? Her voice is not bad actually. Quite pleasant and she sings Hindustani very well. I don’t know how she sounds like nyanyi lagu padang pasir. In the advert they say she has a good padang pasir voice. Errr… get her a padang pasir song then……

Farhan

I don’t know how old she is. But most of the students call her Kak Farhan. Has a good voice next to Velvet I think. But her singing has no ‘feel’ in it. Shes gonna sing the blues this week. I wonder if she will succeed.

Balik kampong.. wohooo.. balik kampung…. Ohhh..

Balik kampung ku today. Biasa masa cuti2 ani, go home la tanam kacang.. muahaha.. nada bah.. juz balik see my family. Haven’t started house cleaning my place yet.. malasnya aku… kan ambik amah temporarily ku ih…

Also servis my car yang sudah terlanjak due date for its next servis. Marah NBT kalu during tau.. neway, Ive gone somewhere else to servis my car.. since its much cheaper.

Petang2 atu bawak Via bersiar2 satu round di kampung ah, using her baby carriage, apaka namanya tu, mau juwa ya. I mean, lapas atu bila bawa masuk ke rumah nyamal ya, nyanyat cia pulang kan besiar2 lagi muahahaha..

From kampung balik ke Bandar around 8pm I think, singgah ke rumah Bungsu, Liyat my little cozen, c Saiful. Al maklum masa cuti sekulah ani ramai kanak2 besunat. Including him lah.. muahaha.. do I remember masa ku kana sunat? Of course!! Muahaha.. Eeee..

Then balik rumah, rest as usual, n watch the AF diari. Dunno sapa kuar this week, last week c Karen kuar, sian, n Nora before dat. Maybe one of the guys kuar kali. I think rich atu kuarkan cia, n even Diddy atu.

Wednesday lapas I have a try out on ultrasound, my specimen siapa nah? C Awang lah muahaha.. at last got one person to scan. Dr Faizal ngajar. I get the hang of it plang, scanning the abdomen saja, the liver ( follow the lines of the intercostal margin ), kidneys, spleen n bladder. Kana gitau ulih Dr faizal liver is divided into 8 segments. Fuiyooo.. wheres my anatomy book eh? Macam payah, tapi cam I can do it. The thing about it is knowing the anatomy very well. Tapi ku liyat Doppler atu macam, wat is dat? Bunyi2an saja ku dangar. Then ada color ultrasound for the arteries. Blue color means blood flowing away from the probe and red means towards the probe.. err I think.. I hope inda terbaliks..

Kata C Awang juz take the course as a challenge. Lagi payah lagi siyuk. Yeah, wat if I terkantoi? Muahahaha… Ermm, 8 segments of the liver, well dats nothing compared to remembering the bones in a human body.

Kesimpulannya CT Scan is much easier than ultrasound. Which one? Neway, my colig c Tony pon now interested to do ultrasound. Weii, can go study together la, but different UNI la..

My last day at work!! Yehuu.. it has been a tiring day as well. In CT today, wif ‘N’. Its rather a warm day at the unit as well. The airconditioner macam inda functioning very well as well. Weird thing about the unit as well is dat the floor is rather slippery! Napa ya kan? Even my shoes are making rather unpleasant squeaky sound as I stepped on the floor. I cannot stand it myself muahaha.. so I have taken the liberty of putting on the OT shoes for the day. The color doesn’t match my clothing but who cares.. rather than hearing myself walking aroung, or rather squeaking around! Muahahahaha…

Lunch time was at Tony’s house, Tony belanja ‘steam boat’ sempena his birthday, macam batah sudah tu… muahahaha.. neway, thanks Tone for the belanja.

Actually I lupa letaks sini dat one of the radiology nurse, SN Jidah has beranaks hari atu, muahahaha.. lelaki.. Abd Wali I think her son’s name.. Congrats Jidah n Azri.

Last Friday has gone to the Conusellors Chamber at UBD to manned the booth there as part of the career thingy again. Apanah? Nada beurang kaliah. Sunyi sepi, in the morning with me ialah Kak Aimi, ceta2 saja wit her n wit one of the nurse from Cardiology department.

In the afternoon I together gether wif Hj Maat. Dapat juwa ceta2 sal stuffs wif him. In the middle of the afternoon session, my sista called! Muahaha.. Kunci rumah during tinggal so I have to go home n bukak pintu muaahhahaa.. so funny, good thing nada beurang di UBD ah.. so I asked permission lah dari Hj Maat … and he obliged.

Football! Football!! Whos gonna win?

4hb Jun 2006, the 1st Radiology Symposium in Brunei. Held in Sheraton Utama Hotel. Free admissions.

Pagi2 Ms Z dtg ke rumah n then we sekerita ke sana la. Ramai juwa la org dtg meliyat, and mendangar ceramah. Actually lotssa Physics in the talk, like ada part2 yg aku mcm buat ‘duhh’ saja.. muahahaha..

The speakers talked about MRI, CT, Ultrasound, Digital XRay and the digital Hospital. Macam2 jenis radiographic equipment. Wats our latest in RIPAS? Well, dapat satu Digital general radiographic machine. Alhamdulillah, since we don’t get the MRI. And now yang kami tahu, we don’t get the new CT machine! Make do wit the old one saja. The CT machine yg ada masa ani is the Spiral one which is in the market since 1988. Then we skip I think about 3 new CT machines. Yang baru is a dual Tube CT scanner, sia2 pun la that CT Scanner.. we just use that old CT scanner.. still working, I hope beganti before me pencen! Muahahaha…

Macam siyuk meliyat all the equipments yang available in the market, well, in the case masa talk atu ialah Siemens equipment.

Neway, had good lunch at TASEK restaurant at the hotel after the symposium.. kanyangggggg.. makan daging kambing!!
