PUTERI GUNUNG LEDANG – The Musical
Yes!! I went to KL semata2 untuk tengok PGL – The Musical. I went on the 21st February, and balik to Brunei on the 22nd. I went with a friend there, Steve, I hope u enjoy it as much as I do! Hahaha..
Neway, sesampai at my hotel, Allson Genesis ( it’s a bit further away from Sg Wang than I expected ) I texted my fren Chail. Me settled in about 2pm I guess there. So went to the tube station, changed twice at the stations n met her at KLCC at her office!! Mamam Asam laksa Penang at the Penang Restaurant there! Excellent!! Yum yum.
Chail, u said ur getting fat? Wat? Muahaha,, u gila ker? U still kecik n petite!! As promise when I see u again, I will tell u if ur fat or not when I next meet u!! Muahahaha..
KL was raining on the afternoon before d show. Met up wif my fren about 8pm n we took a taxi from the tube station to Istana Budaya. I was actually worried that we wud be late for the show.. but it all went. Even saw Mawi.. ( yeah Mawi.. he was surrounded by all these cameramen n going on his way up to his seat I guess when I was buying souvenir before the show!)
So was it good at all? Yes yes yes… All I can say is dat, I am totally amaze wif the production. It is absolutely on the same par as the International musical. The costume, the settings, its good. Simple staging, but look at LES MISERABLES, its simple as well, but it’s a world phenomenon!
Tiara, playing the Puteri , has a monotonous voice.. but its ok. She sings her way all through the production. She is honest in delivering her songs.. so its ok. Stephen as Hang Tuah has quite a familiar voice, macam Vince.. muahaha.. but of course his voice is more powerful. Hes damn good lah.
We also has AC Mizal as the Puteri brother, sapa nama ntah, tak ingat! Muahaha.. hes berkemban as well in de production. His voice is different when he sings though. Very poppish.. u know, macam ada yang inda masuk. Muahahaha, but hes also good. Then we have Adlin as Sultan Melaka, he can sing! Wat a pleasant surprise! And who can forget that boy who plays the Sultan’s boy, very pleasant to see a boy dat small playin a character infront of hundreds of people in a theatre. Amazing!
The first part of the musical is in Indonesia I guess. So we can see all these actor n actresses speakin in the Indonesian dialogue, n the gurls, apa lagi berkemban la. Muahaha.. The second part is in Melaka and Gunung Ledang.
Which part of the musical is my fave? I guess it must be the part where the Sultan was about to kill his boy, when the Puteri suddenly appeared n stopped him. Like, De Ja vu.. its like in de movie. Tiara can really act, I really salute her la..
So, 4.5 out of 5! Very good! Will want to watch again. Mudah2an they do a tour here in Brunei.
After the show, me mamam. Obviously it was late when I reached my hotel. Tarus tidurrrrr… Woke up at 9 the following morning. And guess wat.. my flight was delayed to 640pm. I was at the airport at 130pm I think. Wat a long wait!! Argghhhhhhhhh
